This web site is designed to display weather data from Davis weather stations in a clear and comprehensible manner.
Site Current
The main page is divided into three sections. On the left, you have the current weather data presented in clear numerical form. In the middle is the site plan. The arrow can be moved on the map by clicking in the desired location. The right hand side shows trend graphs of the last six hours' worth of temperature, wind speed and pressure data.
Local Current
This page shows comparative data around the local area in tabular form.
Site Forecast
The local five-day weather forecast for whichever of our weather stations is closest to your location.
History
Weather history for the last 24 hours. You can choose to see 24 hours' worth of data for any time period stored in the database. We normally keep 28 days' worth of data and the earliest available timestamp is shown on the page.
Data
Raw data for your site. You can choose to see the data for any stored day. You can also download the data in comma separated values (.CSV) format for use in a spreadsheet.
When you download data, please save the file as .csv if it doesn't already choose that for you (different web browsers vary). This just means 'commas separated values' and the file is in plain text. You can open this file directly in Excel or other spreadsheets. It may ask you to import the file - this is fine, just tell it that the values are comma separated and it will accept that.
IR-sat / VL-sat
These pages show infra-red satellite and visible light satellite images. The infra-red image is from a geostationary satellite and shows the same area of land each time. It is updated every six hours. The visible light images is taken from a polar orbiting satellite and will change each time. Orbital periods will also change each time.
Windrose
This page shows the wind direction over time for your site. It can be configured to show different timescales and different variants of the wind run.
If the time does not show as you expect it to
Skylink-Pro assumes Greenwich Mean Time / Universal Time (UTC) and displays this accordingly. In the summer, this may give the impression the date is an hour behind. There is a setting in the user preferences screen for the time zone you are in. During the summer, you may wish to switch this to British Summer Time (BST) to show the last update time as you would expect to see it.
